The 2020 Canadian Collaborative Mental Health Care Conference will be held on June 5th and 6th at the Halifax Convention Centre in Halifax, NS. The theme is “Collaboration Cultivates Community”.

Event aims to end addiction stigma and remember lives lost to overdose
Members of the Harm Reduction Task Force of Hastings-Prince Edward will be holding its first event at Market Square in Belleville on August 28 to mark International Overdose Awareness Day (Aug. 31). It is happening from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Peterborough Ag Roundtable – Mental Health Forum
June 4th 2019 @ 7:00pm
The Peterborough Ag Roundtable is hosting an education session for farmers on June 4. Jack Veitch, manager of community engagement and education for the local CMHA, will explore what mental health is through an in-depth look at mental illness and the stigmas that often surround it. The audience will learn simple techniques for improving mental health as well as gain direction on how to access local supports and services for themselves or a loved one.
The session aims to uncover some of the barriers individuals encounter when seeking support for mental health concerns and provide a more inclusive approach to accessing services with the objective of moving towards “mental health for all”.
The Mental Health forum will begin at 7 p.m. at the Douro Community Center.

McHappy Day for the HGH Foundation
Saturday May 4th 2019
This year, the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital Foundation (HGH) has organized an additional McHappy Day, so every child can participate and benefit from this day dedicated to them. This year’s two day event will translate into double the proceeds for the Children Rehabilitation Program of Eastern Ontario and the satellite center of Mental Health and Addictions supporting projects for youth within the communities.
