Moving the Dial: Safe Supply Programs in Ontario
Wed, Jun 3, 2020 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM EDT
Safer Supply programs are effective interventions that help people who use drugs stay connected to healthcare, and reduce preventable deaths. These programs already exist in Ontario and other parts of Canada. They are especially important in the current context when people are dealing with both the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing overdose crisis. In this webinar experts running safer supply programs in Ontario will provide an overview of their programs. Webinar panelists will also discuss the Safer Opioid Supply Programs (SOS) Harm Reduction Informed Guidance Document for Primary Care Teams developed by Ontario prescribers.

Value-Based Healthcare: 2nd Annual Summit
With the increasing impact of COVID-19 in Canada, the health and safety of our conference delegates, staff and partners comes first. We have therefore made the decision to postpone the Value-based Healthcare Conference originally scheduled for April 23 in Toronto. We are working to identify a future date for this event, and we will communicate any updates directly to all registered attendees and exhibitors.
May 5, 2020
After carefully considering the evolving situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19), which the WHO has just declared a pandemic, and following the Public Health Agency’s advice on mass gatherings during the outbreak, we have made the decision to cancel the Capstone Summit and Future Innovator Award Ceremony, scheduled to take place on May 4 and 5, 2020 in Toronto. We are exploring a variety of alternative and virtual options, and will update this page once details are available.
While we will not be able to meet in person in May, we are exploring different alternatives (including a virtual conference). We will be sure to find an excellent way to celebrate our award winners – and to deliver the conference sessions and presentations we had planned. In the meantime, we ask that you continue to hold Tuesday May 5 in your calendars as we explore the possibility of a shorter, virtual session. We will share more information as soon as we have it over the next couple of weeks. Please stay tuned for future updates.

In light of the rapidly changing situation related to the spread of COVID-19, we are cancelling the 2020 Canadian Collaborative Mental Health Care conference, which had been scheduled for June 5th and 6th in Halifax.
Our plan is to postpone the conference for a year, re-scheduling it for late spring 2021, also in Halifax. We will let you know about new dates as soon as they are confirmed, and will be directly contacting everyone who had an abstract accepted over the coming weeks.
If you have already registered for the conference, we will be contacting you, and you will receive a full refund.
If you have any questions about the conference, please contact Jane Harris at Jane.Harris@dal.ca.
